When
a famous person dies from a drug overdose the whole world knows and its
all over the news for months but when a “normal” person dies the news
only lasts a week. How could our world come to this?and who decided one persons life is more valuable then the next?
Social Class is when people are grouped into a set of hierarchical social categories, such as lower class,middle class, and upper class. Although people would like to believe that everyone in the world gets equal rights, that is far from true. For example Miss Lindsay Lohan was sent to court many times for several felonies, but for some reason the court kept letting her off easy. When a so called “normal” person, who isn't being watched by the whole world commits a crime they get sent to prison. How is this fair and how does this prove that everyone has equal rights?
Even at schools social class and inequality is very visible. Some teachers will automatically like students more if they do sports, I noticed this from a personal experience. Before I joined the cheerleading team one of my teachers who was a football coach gave me bad grades, and ignored my existence.When I joined a sports team he started giving me better grades and started talking to me.
Our world has become so focused on money, and appearance. It's everywhere even in magazines. It’s degrading to the people of this generation, because many girls want to be like “women” in magazines. What they don't realise is these women are all photoshopped, and have mounts of makeup on.
If the world had no such thing as social class everything would be so different, people might actually have equal rights, and maybe girls and boys wouldn't be starving themselves to be perfect for society. Not only are they starving themselves but society is sucking the essence of life away, soon we are all just going to be “perfect” and in my opinion there is nothing more flawed than perfection.
